There are times that I think that if we all took some time to be a little bit more self-reflective, we’d have better public discourse and debate.
And then there’s this:
When we told you this years ago you called us Racists.
YOU CALLED US RACISTS.@MayorGregor #VanRE https://t.co/hA8hgOxc5q
— JJ Schtaunkhauser (@Schtaunkhauser) November 13, 2016
Followed quickly by this:
@Vandaytrader @MayorGregor @VanMayorsOffice Sadly Gregor is either an idiot, or corrupt. Or maybe even both. And his girlfriend is a spy.

And:
@Vandaytrader @MayorGregor @VanMayorsOffice CSIS warned about PRC influence over Canadian Politicians years ago. It’s working for them.

I dislike the idea of the ‘race card’ being something that could pre-empt debate, inasmuch as one might potentially exist that could ever shut down white guys. And people are good at using discussions of ‘racism’ as evidence of an overwhelming ‘race card,’ much less accusations of outright racism. But as with many labels, if it fits what’s in the package, it’s what ought to be used.
